About Us

Goodwill In Action To Prevent Suicide CIO is a small charity originally founded in 2020 in SW England modelled to deliver a respite centre based on the Maytree in London. Unfortunately, due to COVID and the illness of our founder, we have changed our original vision and broadened our direction to expand and focus on health and wellbeing. For the public benefit, to relieve the needs of persons at risk of suicide or affected by or bereaved by suicide, in particular, but not exclusively, by the provision of suicide prevention, intervention and postvention training and support including services promoting Health and Wellbeing” We are responsive and dedicated to raising awareness of Suicide and breaking the stigma and taboo. We offer Talks, Training, Support 1-1 and groups in collaboration with a range of people and organisations that wish We do this by promoting mental Health & wellbeing to prevent suicide.  Our mission is to offer hope to those in despair and create a community that fosters mental health and well-being. A shared Mantra is 'Bringing value to people’s lives' A dedicated team of volunteers runs our charity, whilst the day-to-day operations are overseen with a Service Level Agreement with a linked CIC.

Our Vision

Our collective vision is “a life-affirming world freer from suicide”. We wish to raise awareness, breaking the stigma and taboo, in order to prevent suicide by helping people recognise suicidal thoughts and offer support.

 

Goodwill In Action to Prevent Suicide strives to achieve this through the provision of suicide awareness, prevention, intervention and postvention training and support including services promoting health and wellbeing and consultancy and advice services.
