Education and Training

Suicide can be an emotionally charged subject. Each person is affected by grief in their own unique way — any service about suicide attempts or conclusions may be helpful and emotionally cathartic and healing. A grieving process is uniquely personal for family relationships: parents, siblings, relations, friends and for the broader society.

For this reason, if you are or have recently been attempted or bereaved by suicide, we recommend that you reflect on whether this is the right time for you to attend any of our courses or services.

We are aware that for some people, the word “suicide” can cause many different unexplored thoughts to arise. Whilst wanting to reduce the stigma and taboo, we are aware that any sudden death can be distressful.

We give participants developmentally appropriate strategies and tools to identify young children at risk of suicide and quickly gather and organise key details needed to assess risk and inform safety planning.
